Sustainability
At NTET we are firmly convinced that the only form of development is sustainable development, which is based on the balance between economic, social and environmental sustainability. Thanks to our vast range of products dedicated to telephone network infrastructures, energy transmission and railway signaling, as well as those aimed at the automotive sector and industry in general, we try to generate shared value with all our interested parties, integrating environmental issues and social needs within the core business and corporate strategy.
Quality, environment and health and safety at work
NTET cares about the health and safety of its employees and all those who, in any capacity, collaborate in pursuing company objectives. It works to ensure the satisfaction of its customers and all interested parties. Protecting the territory where it operates, investing in technologies that respect the environment and spreading high-performance and eco-sustainable quality products.
To guarantee the continuous improvement of its performance, the Company undertakes to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of management, guaranteeing the appropriate risk assessment and planning activities, definition of internal rules/procedures, measurement, analysis and monitoring, surveillance and control, therefore reviewing and defining the interventions necessary to achieve the expected outcomes and to define new goals.
The creation of sustainable strategies cannot ignore the implementation of a solid Energy Policy. The NTET has as its ultimate goal the achievement of operational objectives and the commitment to the continuous improvement of energy performance in support of broader environmental sustainability objectives.
NTET is committed to implementing an energy policy that is appropriate to the objectives and context of the company and which places the achievement of company objectives and the commitment to continuous improvement of energy performance at the basis of its strategy.
Furthermore, the NTET is fully aware that the phenomenon of corruption represents a serious obstacle to the economic, political and social development of a country and a heavy distortion of the rules, correctness and transparency of the markets, with particular reference to that of works public. In this sense, the NTET prohibits active and passive corruption in any form, having taken care to inform and train its workers on specific concepts and methods and fully feels its commitment to guarantee actions and behaviors based exclusively on criteria of transparency, correctness and moral integrity, which prevent any attempt at corruption.
In application of this commitment, the NTET Governing Body has established its own Policy for the Prevention of Corruption,
The management systems for quality, automotive, environment, energy and anti-corruption are implemented, without any exclusion, by all NTET plants, for the carrying out of all activities that may affect the quality and environmental impact that its products, processes and services may have on interested parties, including communities, customers, employees and suppliers.
The processes involved range from design, to production up to the marketing and distribution of:
Equipment for telecommunications and energy networks; Fiberglass components produced for Compression, Pultrusion and Centrifugal Molding (cabinets, poles, poles, geotechnical pipes, cable protection channels, railway equipment, fiberglass ladders); Injection molded thermoplastic components (connectors, terminal blocks, locks, pipe fittings, railway equipment, etc.); Electromechanical components (LV and MV electrical panels, CT assemblies, measurement transformers (CT and VT), CT-TV connection cords, shunt terminal blocks, insulation penetration connectors); MV switching and sectioning equipment insulated in air and in SF6; Metal carpentry; Extruded polyethylene tubes and minitubes (for optical fibres, cable ducts, gas and water); Fiberglass components for the automotive industry made by compression molding, numerically controlled mechanical machining and assembly; Passive components for fiber optic systems.
The "integrated management system for quality, automotive, environment and energy" is documented by the integrated "Management System Manual" of the NTET Group, prepared in accordance with the requirements of the international standards ISO9001, ISO14001 , ISO50001 and IATF16949.
The "Anti-corruption Management System manual" has recently been prepared which describes the management system for the prevention of corruption in compliance with the ISO37001 standard.
History of NTET system certifications
The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System is implemented in all NTET factories and has been IMQ\CSQ certified since 1994.
The ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System is implemented in all NTET plants and has been IMQ\CSQ certified since 2003.
The IATF 16949:2016 Automotive Quality Management System is implemented at the Piacenza plant (Automotive Division) and has been IMQ\CSQ certified since March 2017.
The management system for the Prevention of Corruption according to ISO 37001:2016 and that for Energy Efficiency according to ISO 50001:2018 have been implemented at all plants and have been certified by Certification (anti-corruption) and IMQ\CSQ in 2023 .
